Run faster, harder, faster, harder. The hamster wheel! Keep it going! Make more money, buy more stuff, believe imaginary crap so you feel more successful and important. Who cares where it came from? Illegal immigrant employees living in squalor and paid peanuts or people working themselves to death just to make it, so what? It’s cool.

Work harder, faster to make money to pay for it. Now we have less time to take care of this stuff….oh the stress! Need a vacation but not now! There’s too much to do. It costs too much. Man, my yard needs work and we really have to get those granite countertops! Where is the money for that going to come from? Work harder, faster, harder, faster!

Need a break! Got to get away from all of this! All of this success? All of this importance? All this stuff! Now we need to get away? Go to a simple beautiful place where people live simply all year long? Stay away from areas of drug wars ( slaves to drugs) or human trafficking ( more slaves)STOP!

Revelations 18;11-14

The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her, for there is no one left to buy their goods. She was their biggest customer for gold and silver, precious stones, pearls, finest linens, purple silks and scarlet; and every kind of perfumed wood and ivory goods and most expensive wooden carvings, and brass, iron and marble; and spices and perfumes and incense, ointment and frankincense, wine, olive oil and fine flour; wheat cattle, horses, chariots and slaves – even the souls of men.

“All the fancy things that you loved so much are gone”, they cry.

“The dainty luxuries and splendor that you prized so much will never be yours again. They are gone forever.

2 Corinthians 11; 19-20

You think you are so wise- yet you listen gladly to those fools; you don’t mind at all when they make you their slaves and take everything you have and take advantage of you, and put on airs and slap you in the face.
